INDIA BRINGING ITS OWN OPERATING SYSTEM

India, which has been investing heavily in information technology in recent times,
is now planning to build its own operating system (OS).
The government is preparing its own OS as an alternative to iOS and Android currently available in the market, said Rajiv Chandra Shekhar, Minister of Information Technology of India.

He mentioned that Indus OS is being introduced as the third OS in the market at a time when iOS and Android are in the market. "There is no third competitor in the OS market at the moment," he said.

Necessary policy preparations have been made to bring 'Indus OS' as a mobile OS. For this, the government is looking for startups that can help in building its own operating system, he said.
