PASSWORDS UNDER SEVEN CHARACTERS ARE HACKED IN 31 SECONDS

Whether it's a social network or a banking app, the password used in it is very important. That's why cyber security experts have been advising you to keep your password strong which helps keeping your account secure.

For that you need to include 'upper' and 'lower' letters in your password. Experts also suggest including numbers and symbols. Your password may be hacked even when everything is included in this way. Because of that the number of characters used in the password is also important.

According to cyber security company Hive Systems, if you have passwords of eight characters or less, it will take hackers less than an hour to hack such passwords. According to the study, it will take a total of 39 minutes to hack 8-character passwords. Similarly, only 31 seconds will be enough to hack a seven letter password. It is said that passwords of letters 6 and below will be hacked immediately.

However, for this, hackers will need high-capacity graphics processing technology. Studies have shown that although passwords are easy to use, the use of characters, such as numbers, 'upper' and 'lower' case and symbols, strengthens the password.

If someone has an 18-digit password, it will take three weeks to find the password. However, if the password of the same number is mixed with 'upper' and 'lower' case and symbol, it is said that it will take millions of years.

That's why experts have been urging people to use longer passwords than short ones.
