Due to the large number of users, hackers are doing many tricks in it. In that case you have to secure your Facebook account by following certain criteria and procedures. Today we are going to tell you about the precautions to be taken to protect your Facebook ID and protect it from hackers.

Keep a strong password
Your password is the first security fence to protect your Facebook account from hackers. Therefore, it is advisable to have a strong and original type of password that others cannot even guess. Do not include your date of birth, name, vehicle number, etc. in the password. Also, don't make the mistake of keeping passwords for other social networking accounts, even on Facebook. Keep passwords longer than at least eight digits by combining English lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, symbols, etc. For example, '4 @? VxkYV4BZS' and don't give out your password to anyone else.

Enable two-factor authentication
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Facebook. When you log in to your Facebook from any mobile or computer, you need to verify your identity through mobile number or Microsoft and Google Authenticator. This means that if you have enabled two-factor authentication on your Facebook, no one else will be able to log in to your Facebook even if they know your username and password. To do this, go to your Facebook settings and go to Security & Login and enable 'Two-factor Authentication'.

Turn on unrecognised login alerts
Facebook alerts you when an attempt is made to 'login' to your Facebook account from an unfamiliar mobile or computer. To do this, go to your Facebook settings and go to 'Security & Login' and then 'Get Alerts About Unauthorized Logins' in 'Set Up Extra Security'.

Keep your Facebook away from search engines
Make sure your Facebook profile is not found on search engines like Google Search, DuckDuck Go. From 'Settings' of your Facebook account, go to 'Profile Settings' and then 'Profile Privacy'. Turn off the last option 'Do You Want Search Engine Outside Facebook To Link To Your Profile'.

Do not accept friend requests from strangers
Only make friends with people you know on Facebook. Do not accept friend requests from strangers. Be aware that some people may even send requests by creating profiles with photos in the names of people you know.

Don't click on any links or extensions
When using Facebook, don't make the mistake of clicking on any link. Sometimes a hacker can send a fake link by accessing the account of a person you know, so you can fall into their trap. Sometimes by clicking on such links, hackers can get their username, password and other confidential details. Also, be careful about downloading third party apps on your mobile and using Facebook or using browser extensions on your computer. If you want to avoid hackers and insecurities, stay away from such things as much as possible.

Set up trusted contacts
Setting up trusted contacts on Facebook helps you access your Facebook account and page. There is a facility to keep your close friends and relatives on Facebook as such trusted contacts who can help you access your Facebook when it is locked for any reason. In that case, you need to send a URL link to your trusted contact friends and ask for the code. But remember to keep a total of 5 people in trusted contact. This will make it easier for you to get at least the three codes you need.
